About Mestre Tucano
Mestre Tucano started with capoeira on the 3th of march 1980 (Grupo Muzenza). He became Mestre in 1987. He founded Grupo Ganga Zumba in 1988. One year later he decided to join the group Capoeira Nacão of Mestre Pop. In 1992 an other group (also called Capoeira Nacão, led by then mestrando Guigui) joined them, making one Capoeira Nacão. In 1995 Mestre Pop left the group and created Grupo Aú Capoeira. Mestre Tucano became ‘president’ of this group and decided to travel around to gain more knowledge. Later he left this group (Mestre Guigui became ‘president’ of the group) and founded this group Associação do Capoeira Camboatá.
