About Mestre Ousado

Mestre Ousado started with capoeira in 1971 with Association Abolicao. He was the president of the associacao Capoeira Filhos de Luanda from 1978-1990. In 1990 he founded the London association of Capoeira Argola de Ouro. Currently Mestre Ousado is giving classes in Singapore. Achievements of Mestre Ousado: Member of the Brazilian Capoeira Confederation 1978/80 Twice All-Brazilian Vice Champion of Capoeira 1978/80 Twice Light Weight Capoeira Champion, Sao Paulo State, Brazil 1987 Bronze medallist, Open Games, Santos, Brazil 1990 Conducted international workshops in USA, Canada, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Holland France, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Australia and Denmark. 1990 Coordinator National Capoeira Workshop and Grading, London. 1994 Organizer, Capoeira performance presented at the Commonwealth Institute, London, Including public demonstration and graduation ceremony. Research fellow and lecturer in tradition, theory and practice of musical instrument needed in Capoeira. 1999 Conducted international workshop in Austria, Finland. 2000/01 Latest conducted workshop in Sweden, Marrocos, and Malaysia, Singapore.
